Research and Readings

Research is a critical component in the work of The Next. We are curious seekers and learners. All our work is research-based. We are committed to participating in the creation of new knowledge.

Our new learning is advanced in three streams. First, we are immersed in opportunities for applied research. New thinking and understanding are generated every day in our work with clients. We bring this learning forward through documentation and case study analysis.

Second, we have formulated specific research questions that reflect our current curiosity.

1. What is the leader life cycle, and how is it analogous to the enterprise life cycle™?
2. What more can we understand about the role of character in the development of leaders?
3. What are we learning about the link between creative process and leader development?
4. What is the relationship between youth and leadership, and how will the next generation of leaders be developed?

Third, we are constantly seeking new understanding through the work of others. In that vein, the following links provide access to our current readings list.
