Gary Entwistle has been principal of Group 7 West since 1975. He specializes in enhancing individual, team, and organizational effectiveness through managerial leadership, strategic marketing planning, executive coaching, merger/acquisition culture integration, team development, and organizational renewal. Gary’s clients include AT&T, Baker-Hughes Oil Tools, Banff Leadership Centre, Basis Communications, Cisco Systems, Chateau Potelle Winery, Harcourt Brace publishers, Hughes Aircraft, The Iams Company, IBM, Napa Win Company, Nissan Motors, Steelcase Inc., and the permanent professional staff of the White House.

Gary is a high level “c-suite” coach who provides intensive personal coaching to individual executives in discovering workable solutions to awkward, sensitive, or difficult issues. He is a family business consultant, providing stakeholders with strategies and solutions for intergenerational transitioning, sibling conflict, succession planning, and redesigning/reassigning roles and responsibilities. He is a merger and acquisition facilitator, assisting both enterprises to appreciate their differences and work together to create a blended workplace culture.

At the Napa Wine Company, Gary coached senior family members of this 100-year old winery in their respective roles as stakeholders in the business. At L.A. Bantle Institute, Gary provided coaching based on a comprehensive 360 degree feedback instrument, developing hard-hitting strategies for improving leadership effectiveness. At McCaw Communications, he provided executive coaching during a period of unprecedented drive toward expanded market. At Iams Company, he coached the top producers, assisting them to acquire and management and organizational skills essential to keep pace with the phenomenal growth of the brand.

Before Group 7 West, Gary was Program Director and Dean of Continuing Education at Kellogg West Executive Center, California State Polytechnic University. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. He is an active researcher and writer. He is a gifted, curious, generous entrepreneur. Gary resides in California.
